Orange Blossom Simple Syrup

Orange Blossom Simple Syrup just came into my life! And I am loving it. I enjoyed making this, not only was it easy, but I enjoy the fresh fragrant smell of orange blossoms in full bloom, and that aroma filled my kitchen! And of course the taste of the syrup is yummy, so yummy that it got me to make a second batch!

I had never heard of Orange Blossom syrup, until I was watching Kate, aka Drinking with Chickens, on IG talking about her new book release while making a cocktail. Well, she was using Orange Blossom Simple Syrup and that peaked my interest. I have no idea what the beverage was she was making, I just wanted to make the syrup! So I went and picked a little sandwich size bag full of orange blossoms, minding the bee’s, and made it the next day. And it has not disappointed.

Again, I have no idea what the intended recipe was for this particular syrup, but I figured since I love a good Old Fashioned, this would be perfect in that! And that my friends, is where my simple syrup journey began. And since then, I’ve done a little reading and people have said they drizzle it over vanilla ice cream, homemade bread and waffles. So I imagine the possibilities are endless.

This recipe is super simple, but you do need to let the blossoms rest in the water for a few hours. So keep that in mind. This is a 2 part recipe. You make Orange Blossom Water then you use the water and make your Simple Syrup.
